 E-Zee Cut® is a soft, stabilizing backing that is ideal for use on knits, sweaters, fleece and any fabric that stretches. It is especially good for use on fabrics that will be worn close to the skin. The proper use of Cut Away will prevent your embroidery from pulling, sagging or puckering and will add stability to your garment.
E-Zee Cut is available in a variety of sizes and weights to meet the needs of your embroidery project.

When choosing a backing, it is important to consider the weight of the garment and the softness or crispness desired. A backing should be slightly lighter in weight than the garment. If a backing is too heavy, it will weigh down the garment and distort the shape. Knitted fabrics and lightly woven fabrics do not have even stability and therefore must be embroidered using backing. Also included in this group are smooth fabrics such as satin. It is also important to consider the stability of the non-woven backing. If the garment material must be hooped, the underlying backing can have little stretch in any direction. If the backing stretches, the embroidery may appear puckered or warped.
