Burmilana No. 12, is a 50% wool, 50% acrylic embroidery thread. It is great for stitching onto knitwear and looks beautiful as chenille, loop pile or chain stitch embroideries. For fashion, knitted goods, ethnic country style or traditional folk costumes, embroidery with Burmilana completes the 'wool on wool' natural effect. For best results please use a #100/16 needle.
Because it is thicker, and of a different texture to most threads in everyday use, there are several points we would like to advise you of:
• Digitize a design for the necessary density.
• Use the appropriate needle size, our ballpoint system R-SUK is the ideal needle point to use.
• When using Burmilana, normal machine speeds need to be slightly reduced.
• Tension should be adjusted to accomodate the difference in thickness and texture.
