4mm Rhinestones
Crystals come in 13 different colors and are available in 3mm and 4mm sizes. The back of each crystal has a heat-activated adhesive, commonly known as hot fix crystals, that when melted will bond the crystal to the item to be embellished. The adhesive adheres to just about anything that is porous such as but not limited to fabric, paper, leather, or wood.
To apply crystals, you'll need a heated applicator, such as the Dalwand. First, select the tip that fits the chosen crystal size. Then the wand is turned on and preheated for several minutes. Be sure that your crystals have a flat bottom and have heat-seal adhesive on the bottom. Place the crystal on a Teflon sheet or a surface that cannot be damaged by heat. Press down over the crystal with the tip of the wand and let the glue on the bottom of the crystal melt. Place the wand in position and press down on desired location. For most fabrics, holding the wand down for approximately 10-15 seconds will suffice, however for heavier fabrics it is recommended to hold down a bit longer, around 20-25 seconds.
