Classic Rayon


CLASSIC RAYON NO. 40, available in 1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones This standard size embroidery thread is ideal for most designs. Made from 100% viscose rayon, it is perfectly suited for embroidery on high speed commercial embroidery machines. It is known worldwide for its high tensile strength and excellent glossy luster.

CLASSIC RAYON NO. 30, available in 714 yard spools and 3,300 yard cones A thicker viscose rayon which fills in quickly and reduces the stitch count and production time in large designs. It is also ideal for use on heavy fabrics such as terry toweling, carpeting and upholstery. Classic No. 30 colors are identified by the red dot on the Madeira Classic rayon color card.

CLASSIC RAYON NO. 60, available in 1,640 yard spools Classic Rayon No. 60 can be used anywhere fine detail or small lettering is required and for decorative sewing on delicate fabrics. Classic No. 60 colors are identified by the blue dot on the Madeira Classic Rayon color card.

CLASSIC NO. 12, available in 2,187 yard cones A soft, satiny, 2-ply Rayon serging thread, the unique twist of Classic Rayon No. 12 makes it an excellent choice for edging garments and badges. A needlepoint effect can be achieved when it is run on standard embroidery machines. Classic Rayon No. 12 colors are identified by the Yellow dot on the Madeira Classic Rayon color card.

Polyneon


POLYNEON NO. 40, available in 1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones Madeira´s polyester embroidery thread, Polyneon, is constructed of a specially developed raw material which eliminates looping, puckering and virtually all thread breaks. Suitable for almost any application, Polyneon´s unique100% polyester formula makes this thread extremely durable and smooth running. Vibrant colors are resistant to chlorine bleach, making Polyneon the ideal thread for embroidering on uniforms, safety garments and commercial linens.

POLYNEON NO. 60, available in 1,650 yard spools Polyneon No. 60 can be used anywhere fine detail and small lettering is required and for decorative sewing on delicate fabrics. No. 60 colors are identified by the blue dot on the Madeira Polyneon polyester color card.

Specialty Threads


Frosted Matt, available in No. 40 (2,700 yard cones).  This is a true matte finish polyester embroidery thread.  It contains a ceramic ingredient that provides extreme color fastness. Although characterized as a 40 weight thread, Frosted Matt is slightly thinner, so we recommend you adjust your density for large fill areas or when embroidering light colored thread over dark fabrics.  For best results digitizing for Frosted Matt, set the stitch density to 3.5 or .35 to maximum 4.0 or .40 .

FS METALLIC, available in No. 15 (328 yard spools and 1,640 yard cones); No. 20 (612 yard spools); No. 30 (5,500 yard cones); No. 35 (1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones); No. 40 (1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones); No. 50 (1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones); No. 45 (5,500 yard cones); No. 40 Value Metallic (547 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones)

FS Metallic features a strong textured polyester filament core with a metallized polyester foil wrap. In addition to the classic shades of gold and silver, a wide range of unique colors are available.

FS50, Smooth runner and the world's finest of metallic threads.  Ease of operation and subtle distinction qualify for clarity and incredibly vivid detail in design and for the most intricate finishing touches.  Capable of spectacular shading and letters down to 4mm high, just perfect for small lettering, fine monograms and filigree embroidery.


FS45, Excellent value for less money vested in the more economical aluminum coating, yet retaining the strong and durable construction of the thread.  A reduction of the metallised wrapping produces a slightly thinner thread than FS35 and allows the Trilobal Polyester core to gleam.  Trouble free stitching at top speeds for designs and decorative stitching.


FS40, A master of make or break and a class of its own well designed for use on the most challenging materials, from fine drapery to coarse and sturdy fabrics.  The classic smooth, supple metallic thread is perfectly suitable for sophisticated embroidery designs on elaborate base material.

FS35, This versatile metallic thread of smooth structure, ensures trouble free stitching at top speeds for fashionable designs and decorative stitching.  Its construction is well balanced, it fills faster and it is suitable for uncomplex yet extensive embroidery on virtually any fabric.

FS30, Slightly thicker than FS35, this 30 weight metallic embroidery thread produces embroidery designs of rich and genuine metallic look.  Its exclusive twist construction and double-layer protection make it the most abrasion resistant metallic thread in the industry.  Specially developed for outdoor exposure, stone washing, chlorine and bleaching, plus harsh laundering at temperatures up to 203ºF.

FS20, Elegant and soft metallic thread made from velvety spun rayon wrapped by an extra fine metallised foil.  The blends of color are outstanding and voluminous thread lends itself to outlining and accent stitching in designs.  It is exceptionally gentle to the skin and a wonderful complement to fashion.

SUPERTWIST, available in No. 30 (1,100 yard spools and 5,500 yard cones); No. 12 (1,100 yard cones). Supertwist is ideal for embroidery, festoon work, ornamental seams and many other decorative applications on high speed commercial embroidery machines.

BURMILANA, No. 12, available in 1,090 yard cones Madeira´s finely spun wool blend embroidery thread is perfect for creating a soft textured look on garments. It is also used with chenille and chain stitch embroidery attachments.

FIRE FIGHTER, No. 40, available in 1,000 yard spools Fire Fighter is heat and flame resistant and is geared toward protective clothing, workwear and race car uniforms. Fire Fighter is made from 100% Aramid, the fiber used for Nomex®. Fire Fighter complies with ISO standards. Available in a wide range of 24 popular colors, which correspond to Madeira´s 100% polyester Polyneon.  Madeira provides Fire Fighter bobbin thread, bobbins and fire retardant Proban® backing in its E-Zee Backing & Topping™ division.
